Coolant Fluid
Coolant does so many things, but mostly pertains to the engine. Is it warm? Coolant will help keep it cool. Is it suddenly winter and your car needs some help warming up? Antifreeze (still coolant) can warm it up. Coolant, otherwise knowns as antifreeze - it's job is to help ensure your vehicle can adjust to whatever the temperature. Coolant and antifreeze are the same things with names that can be used interchangeably.
Flushing and Replacing Your Coolant
The coolant fluid exchange is when we go in, dump out the old fluid and replace it with fresh, clean fluid.
When do you need a coolant fluid exchange?
It's best to always consult with your owner's manual first, or ask one of our technicians. The usual timeframe is about every 30,000 or 50,000 miles.
Signs you need new coolant:
- Temperature gauge starts to consistently read warmer than usual.
- Green or orange antifreeze colors start showing up underneath your car.
- There is a grinding noise coming from your hood.

The needs differ from coolant services schedules to the kind of coolant/antifreeze needed. Have questions?
