Integrating your iPhone smartphone with your Subaru infotainment system to listen to your favorite music or receive calls and messages is quick and easy. Follow the steps below:

  • Make sure your vehicle is parked and in a safe spot with the parking brake on.
  • Shut off your engine and put it into accessories mode, or you can keep it running.
  • When the STARLINK logo appears, agree to the caution notice.
  • Pair your phone to the vehicle by hitting “home” and adding your phone when it comes up. It’s now connected to STARLINK Multimedia.
  • To utilize the STARLINK App and its news, iHeartRadio, weather, Stitcher, music, or calendar features, download the Subaru STARLINK app from the App Store. You may need to connect to your Google account if accessing it for the first time.
  • Once your phone is connected to STARLINK Multimedia via Bluetooth, you’re now able to access the features you want through your Subaru’s infotainment touchscreen!

  • Connect Your iPhone via Apple CarPlay: Apple CarPlay smartphone integration lets you use a lot of the same features and applications as the STARLINK App. Like above, make sure you authorize your connection if you haven’t used this tool before. Then, connect your phone via an Apple-approved USB cable!
  • Connect Your Phone USB OR AUX : If you have an older phone that’s not supported by CarPlay or Android Auto, or you would rather utilize Subaru’s multimedia interface over these smartphone integration interface programs, you can easily connect your phone via a USB OR AUX cable if your vehicle has one of these ports.
